Where To Stay In Joshua Tree
We loved staying at all of these Airbnbs in Joshua Tree, California, and had the ultimate desert experience. We stayed at these Airbnbs either as a couple or with a group of friends. Even with family once. Everyone loved these cool mid-century Joshua Tree cabins.
Mid-Century Hiking & Camping Desert Cabin In Joshua Tree
The Mid-Century Hiking & Camping Cabin is a really stylish retro cabin in Joshua Tree. The Airbnb is close to the town of Joshua Tree, but far enough away to be undisturbed. The homestead is located a bit up on the hill with terrific views across the desert.
If the amazing views, that the cabin has to offer, weren’t enough, the Airbnb also comes with a 1960’s Kenskill Travel Trailer.
This original Jackrabbit homestead can accommodate 4 people. We loved the BBQ and seating area outside and the retro camper.
LOCATION
This affordable Airbnb cabin is located South of 29 Palms Highway and is close to downtown Joshua Tree as well as Joshua Tree National Park.

La Cabanette Joshua Tree Airbnb Near The Integratron
The second Airbnb in Joshua Tree is a little further away from the town and national park. But therefore La Cabanette Cabin comes with endless and unobstructed views of the desert. This Joshua Tree cabin is truly the ultimate relaxing desert experience that you can ask for!
The mid-century cabin accommodates two people, this is perfect for a couple’s getaway. With a lot of love, it is newly renovated and nicely decorated. There’s a BBQ outside and a hammock to watch the stars at night. We loved that perk especially!
LOCATION
La Cabanette is located North of Flamingo Heights. The cabin is 9 mins from the Integratron (a unique sound bath experience), 15 to Giant Rock and 40 to Joshua Tree National Park main entrance. It is less than half an hour to Pioneertown/Pappy and Harriet’s, and 10 mins to the famous La Copine restaurant.
COYOTE NELSON – THE BIG BLUE CABIN IN JOSHUA TREE
Coyote Nelson – The Big Blue House is as the name gives away a colorful, one-of-a-kind desert cabin nestled in a secluded canyon at the base of Joshua Tree’s Bartlett Range.
This Airbnb cabin in Joshua Tree is a mix of retro and modern chic with a lot of love for the detail. The home has three bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people, which is perfect for groups.
Watching the sunrise in the morning from the bed or the terrace is Joshua Tree desert magic coming alive. We can only recommend it as it super pretty and one of the most affordable Joshua Tree cabins we came across.
LOCATION
Coyote Nelson Airbnb makes you fell like you are super far away from everything, but in fact the cabin is located only a bit north of the town of Joshua Tree. It only takes a short drive through the desert streets to get to places and the national park nearby.

Motels & Hotels In Joshua Tree
If you are looking for the most affordable accommodations in Joshua Tree, motels will be the cheapest places to stay.
Most of the hotels and motels are located along 29 Palms Highway. The majority are located around the towns of Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms.
Yucca Valley is close to Pioneertown and at Twentynine Palms, you have the second entrance to the national park and the Oasis Visitor Center.
The first time we visited Joshua Tree we stayed at The High Desert Motel on our way to Coachella. Staying in a motel in Joshua Tree is absolutely fine and most of all a cheap option if you are on a budget.
Most of the time motels around Joshua Tree are under $100 some are even closer to $70 / $50 per night.
