The 30 feet tall Transmission Sculpture in Joshua Tree by world-renowned South African artist Daniel Popper is probably Joshua Tree’s most famous art installation that created a massive hype.

Daniel Popper is also the creative mind behind the incredibly popular wooden sculpture “Ven La Luz” in Tulum which became an Instagram sensation in the past few years.

Mojave Moon Ranch

Commissioned by Morgan Brown, a designer and developer, the massive sculpture was finished in 2021 on her property the Mojave Moon Ranch after months of planning and building.

How to see Transmission Sculpture In Joshua Tree?

The Daniel Popper Transmission sculpture sits elevated overlooking the California Desert near Joshua Tree National Park.

Once you know where to find it, you can’t really miss it. The giant sculpture can even be seen from further away.

The majestic art piece is the largest sculpture the artist has ever been commissioned to create.

Location

The giant sculpture is located on private property at the Mojave Moon Ranch.

No public access, but…

There is no public access to the private property. At first, the artwork could only be seen from the designated parking area along the road.

However, due to the popularity and sadly also many intruders not respecting the no trespassing signs, a fenced path has been built to get closer and have a better view of Daniel Popper’s famous hand sculpture.

You still can’t walk around the structure, but now you will be able to see the Transmission Sculpture from much closer, which is pretty nice.
